The Day I Walked Through Walls

Well, kinda sorta. We tore down the wall to the back of the house last week and every day we are getting close and closer to moving in. This post is really about the pictures, so I will get right to it. The Day I Walked Through Walls and Nearly Doubled the Size of The Nut House!

That hole used to be a window. Way back when.
The stairs to the upstairs of the addition run right into the back of the house.
The first part of the wall is gone!
Another view of the wall that is no longer. A window is now door.
Nothing but support posts left from the framing of the old part of the house.
New header into the addition.
The header holds it all together!
Wide open spaces!
And again from the other side. The bottom of the stairs doesn’t run into the wall any more!!
I can’t even get in there to take more pictures at the moment. My bedroom is over there somewhere too.

Hi! I saw you were following me via BlogFrog so I came to check you out! The main attractions were the many man-cubs in your family, and the fact that you’re the loudest mom on the block. I’m the loudest Mom I know, so you are so in good company, lol.

I love your blog! Is your husband a carpenter? Mine is, but he took a job as a correctional officer at a prison because of the economy drop in our area.

I’m gonna add you to my blog roll so I can keep up with you guys. 🙂

My husband used to do a lot of trade-work, framing, roofing, tile setting, etc. He worked for different contractors and learned a little bit of everything. Which is great for a home remodel and adding an addition on to the house. Funny, he would like to go into law enforcement and is taking a corrections class right now and HATES it. 7 more weeks to go!
