10 Things Tuesday

10 Things Tuesdays! Ten things made you happy this week? Blog about ’em! Ten things you want to do before the week’s over? Blog ’em! Any ten things, any theme you wish, every Tuesday over at Magnolia Queen.

I found 10 Things Tuesdays this morning and thought I would join in. Especially since I am always thinking about so many things at once.

1. Our addition! I painted the sub-flooring downstairs and the upstairs is ready to go once I finish moping the new floor up there.

2. Putting together Honey Nut’s crib. Even with 5 kids, I have never bought and put together a new crib before. Little Nut Nut is sleeping in a used conversion crib that we are getting ready to give to Wee Nut later this week.

3. Our patches of baby grass and when I will be able to plant some more and lay down the straw.

4. Our awesome yard sale that we had last weekend and the crazy money we made.

5. Cody Beck who just had the Fontan procedure and is at UVa Children’s recovering now. I hear he is doing great!

6. Planning next months Mended Little Hearts meeting and what we are going to do.

7. Wing Nut and E Nut are getting ready to go on their first ever extended vacation to New York for 3-4 weeks. I miss them already!!

8. Wing Nut will be taking his first year end Homeschool test this week. I am anxious to see how I did as a teacher.

9. We forgot to pick up E Nut’s T-Ball trophy again the weekend.

10. Our addition! Because really, I think about it all day long.

I am visiting from blogfrog. I just loved your blog name, so I figured I check it out. 🙂 Somedays I feel like the head of a nut house. 🙂

I’m sure you did great your first year of homeschooling. I’m about to start my forth, and I’m still trying to figure it out. 🙂

Thanks for the encouragement! We just got the California test in the mail, it looks easy, but my son gets nervous during testing and is easily distracted when he has to work alone. He is going to be taking the test this week, so I will find out soon enough 🙂

So glad you found my blog! I’m looking forward to following you. I may be emailing you as I see in #6 you mentioned planning a MLH meeting. We just had our first support meeting this month. Everyone’s quiet! I’m struggling to think of topics and things, especially since we’re a ways away from the Hospitals so getting any Cardiologists or anything to speak will be hard. I’m so open to ideas!

Nice to meet you Julia! Did you just start a MLH group in your area? I just went to the annual MLH conference in Minn last month, I had a great time and learn so much. I just started working as co-coordinator a few months ago and am really still trying to figure it all out myself, but loving it!

Thanks for joining in with this week’s 10 Things!

Your kids are too cute!! I never realized how many children had heart defects until I got into the blogging world, and I’m so glad to read your little Owain is doing well.

I had fun Whitney, I am glad I found you 🙂

Thanks, and I didn’t realize that CHDs were so common either, until I almost lost my son.
