My Five Dollar Make-Over

Actually it was less than 5 bucks, the henna was four something, I don’t remember exactly. I have seen some Henna for much cheaper, but I am brand loyal to my Henna color. I was ordering it online, and the last thing I wanted to do was try out a new brand and have it come out all wonky. I probably should have taken the time to actually look nice, but it was a now or never kind of moment. After you watch the vlog you can see how completely exhausted I am, but the addition is looking awesome, and the homeschool room is coming along nicely, I might even finish it today! The organizing part of it anyways, I have yet to patch the cracks in the wall, or paint the new (put on 5 years ago and never finished) trim. I also have to put at least one more coat of chalkboard paint on the backs of the doors. Anyways, completely off topic – now on to the vlog. Enjoy, and don’t laugh at the bags under my eyes!

You did an EXCELLENT job on your hair.
Last time I cut my own (in high school), I ended up with a crew cut on top, and a mullet in back.

Haha Jean! I think I gave myself that same hair cut in highschoo! I have gotten much better at it over the years 🙂

You did a fab job (I could never do my own hair but I am very good at cutting my kids’ hair). Besides which, you have a lot of natural beauty. Considering how “exhausted” you say you were, you look incredible.

I was also impressed with the quality of the video and your “stage presence.” I’ve yet to put a video on my blog but may someday if I feel I can do a good job with it.

Thanks Anne! I feel better knowing that after hardly any sleep I look better than I feel 🙂

I was really nervous doing vlogs at first, but my kids and I did a lot of silly videos playing around and it helped me to get comfortable. You should try it out sometime, they are really fun to do!

    Love the hair!

Thanks! I started growing it out a few months ago and then ended up chopping it off.

WOW, I use to cut my own hair. I did it the day I was going to a awards ceremony in my honor when a friend told me that one side was at least four inches longer than the other.

Oh no! I have had moments where I cut big chunks out of my hair, and then had to try to figure out how to fix it.

Did anyone else notice or say anything? I always wonder if I am missing something and no one will tell me, lol.
