10 Things Tuesday

As you know, 10 Things Tuesdays has become my way of organizing my projects for the week, while keeping realistic goals of accomplishing 10 important things around the house and in my life…and be held accountable for them! As I am putting them out there for the world to see, I would feel like a super slacker if I didn’t do my best to get them done

10 Things Tuesdays! Ten things made you happy this week? Blog about ‘em! Ten things you want to do before the week’s over? Blog ‘em! Any ten things, any theme you wish, every Tuesday over at Magnolia Queen.

You can go to last week’s 10 Things Tuesdays to see what was on my list and what I actually got done…and to see what is left over and moved up to this week.

1. Finish building the railing for the stairs. We got the bottom half completely finished and the top half started. This project is never ending. We haven’t had much time to work on it, but it HAS to get done. As of 8/10pm the railing is on, now we just have to get the balusters on!! And on 8/13 it was finished completely!!

2. I have yet to post pictures of Maria, my Dobsonfly (wicked freaky bug that attacked me a while back) I am working on that. (I am feeling like a big slacker with this! oops)

3. Get the clean laundry put away! will it ever end?

4. Patch the cracks in the walls of the homeschool room and do some touch-up painting. {Dear Wall Nut, I sure could use some drywall compound to patch that giant hole in the wall. Thanks so much. Love, your very anxious wife}

5. I am down to just weed eating the front yard, but now I have to start weeding the gardens in the front and back of the house. Boo.

6. Take pictures of the kids new bedrooms and get them posted…because our new addition rocks and I can’t wait to show it off Again, I got a new camera last week, so this will be a soon to be post as well.

7. We are still working on the Nuts new playset. This thing is a massive undertaking. I see now why people go out and buy those ready to assemble kits. All of the pieces and parts that I ordered last week are starting to come in now. A few more hours of work and we will have a somewhat finished and definitely usable play set! As of 8/14 all the railings are on and the frame for the swings was added…no swings yet, but that is the next step, lol.

8. Get to the recycling center. Wing Nut helped Wall Nut get this done and made quick work of it 🙂 what a good kid!

9. Actually drive to the Goodwill and get all of those way too many bags in that giant pile of things to give away! Wall Nut threw everything in the back of the truck and did it in 1 trip!

10. Clean the kitchen that has been forgotten while I spend my day outside doing yard work. Yuck, my least favorite mess.

Ten Things Tuesday…hmmm? Let me see.

    1. My hot project for today is to pull together some roof repair paraphernalia my husband needs for my son & his weekend fixer up project.

2.Visit at least three blogs that I follow and leave comments where appropriate. I’m one-third done on this task already as I type. =D

3.Ride my exercise bike for 30-mins and do 50-squats while holding my giagantor 10 pound weights. Gotta keep my legs in good shape.

    4. Clean the bathroom from top to bottom.

    5. Call my parents.

    6. Answer some over-due letters. Yep, snail mail! My friends probably think I’ve fallen off the planet.

    7. Make a large pot of chilli and corn bread for weekly meals. Mmmm, sounds good!=P

8.Chase away the dust bunnies that multiply too fast for me to keep up with.

    9. Pull out the cooler weather clothing and get it washed up. Fall is starting to feel like it’s truly here this morning!

    10. Have a cup of tea, after all don’t I deserve it?

After several years of a nightmare of a roof, our roof is now something that we don’t have to worry about 🙂

Aside from that, I could totally copy your list and run with it. Except I don’t have an exercise bike and rock my Wii Fit when possible 😉

Oh my gosh. You make me tired just reading this! My ten things include “do the dishes” or “serve lunch” HA!
I’m totally serious, by the way. Life is crazy with three preschoolers.

Our big projects are coming to an end. Hopefully by the end of August I can add “serve lunch to all the kids at the same time” to my list, lol. And I totally agree Life with 3 preschoolers is crazy, and exhausting!

Hi Hazel Nut, I’m visiting from your community! Your to do list is packed with huge projects. My to do list is usually less than ten things and I still can’t get them done. I can’t wait to see the pics of the kid’s rooms.
