I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

The Nut House Gets Flooded

I tried taking pictures, but that really doesn’t show the mess that my children created. The video doesn’t really do that great of a job either, but here it is anyways, lol. There are 2 videos because somehow I stopped recording in the middle of it.

I was thinking that we were going to have turkey meatloaf for dinner, but after a few hours of cleaning up water the kids get cereal. And now there is no time for movie night either. I don’t think the kids will be asking to play in the new bathroom “sink” again for awhile and I might have have to do some damage control after teaching the kids a couple of new words tonight.

You can also see photos to see some of the darker areas in the videos.

Don’t forget…You are laughing with me, Not at me. Got that 😉

Bless you girl! What a disaster, but what a calm, serene way you cope:) As though this is nothing out of the ordinary.
I’ve now joined The Nut House, and invite you to swing by and visit me too.

      Thanks Debra!

This was one of those “little bit of Crazy” moments, yes we are way to used to things like this, lol.

I will stop by to visit your site this week 🙂

Oh my god! And they are still alive? LOL You are good I tell ya. How much damage has been done to electrical (inside walls) and sheet rock? Those wood floors, omg, the water is not good for them. How much is this going to cost you to have professionals inspect all these things for safety?

You have patience, that I will say. My kids would have been in the corner for the rest of their lives had they done something like that. Also, the toys in every room, nope, not happening. Stepping on leggos HURTS. They had to put away something before they could take out something else and they only played either in their bedrooms or the family room.

    You sound so calm. LOL

I think we were lucky with the damage. We got everything cleaned up very quickly and have had the dehumidifier on in the downstairs bathroom There are parts of the ceiling in the shower and where the vanity lights will go that are still open to the framing…that really helps pull the moisture from under the floors upstairs. We have also had the heat on a bit higher and not turning it down at night to help dry it out too.

Lucky for us Mr Wall Nut knows a lot about all of this to know that we don’t need to have anyone come in. He has over 8 years experience, so I trust his judgment 😉

If I didn’t stay calm, I might have grounded the kids until next year, lol.

Ahhhh, yes, I grew up with a dad who always knew a lot about home repairs. He does electric, plumbing and practically rebuilt the entire downstairs of the house about 4 years ago now. I know hiring professionals can get costly, so I’m so glad hubby is able to evaluate the situation.

Wishing you a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

        Glad you stayed calm.
