Random Thoughts – Sick Again – Wii Fit

Do you ever get that feeling that if you slow down, and try to relax for too long that some sort of sickness will creep in just when you let your guard down? That has happened to me twice in the past 2 weeks. The first time happened the day my parents went home after the holidays. I laid down shortly after they left, and I immediately got sick. The second time was just today. I actually got the chance to go to the store alone with no kids, and while I was wandering around the store I realized I was sick. The other day Wing Nut suddenly got sick as well, and within a few hours he could barely swallow, and spiked a 103 fever. I was hoping that I could avoid getting sick, but no chance of that. I feel like crud.

I don’t know much about large screen flat TVs except that I have wanted one for so long. Did you know that while they are very expensive, if you can get your hands on a broken one, you can get it fixed for a fraction of the cost of a new one? I didn’t! My brother came across a broken flat screen TV that is bigger than I ever thought I would own. He paid to get it fixed, and gave it to us as a family gift for Christmas. I would never have known that there was ever anything wrong with it if he didn’t tell me. I am amazed at all the detail I can see, every time we watch one of our favorite movies, I see more and more things I never noticed before.

It is also wicked awesome to play Wii on the new TV. We have been doing Wii Fit on the new TV and it is so much fun! That may have been a major factor in deciding to reclaim the Wii from my kids. Once I saw how great all the games looked on the TV, I knew I had to get in on the fun, and not just let my kids rule the Wii.

If you are joining me for Get Fit With Wii Fit, tomorrow is check in day. It is our first day, so whatever you want to do got get started to join the fun works for me. See you tomorrow!

I will not read The Road or watch The Road. I don’t do kids in peril, even though I love Viggo. From what people have told me about that movie/book, I will be depressed for weeks and I really don’t need any help in that department.

When my husband first read the book, he told me that I would not be able to handle it, that it would be too much for me. He was right, I would not have even finished the book.
