I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

The Wet Engine vs Eat Pray Love

I haven’t vlogged in a while, and I don’t usually get so chatty, but I figured what the heck, it is Friday night so I will throw caution to the wind and ramble into my webcam. I am getting ready to give up reading Eat Pray Love until I am finished reading The Wet Engine by Brian Doyle. Eat Pray Love and it’s lack luster story will have to wait until I am done reading about the journey of an amazing Dad and his son with a Congenital Heart Defect. If you feel like you can make it through Eat Pray Love and share another point of view, I would love to hear it. I will be back again for another vlog when I am actually done reading it. Don’t hold your breath though, at this rate I still have about 3-4 more months before I can make it to the end.

*in the video I mention reading The Wet Engine last month, I meant last year.

I love it! I am with you, I got EAT, PRAY, LOVE when we went to Mexico, thought it would be a fun “light” read…couldn’t get into it, haven’t picked it up since we got home in September and I am thinking, it’s going to be a book I don’t finish.
Your kids are precious and you are so cute! Happy Friday!

      Thanks Karrie, lol.

Eat Pray Love is not a light read at all. Nor is it fun. My husband is convinced that now that I am reading another book that I will never go back to it. I might have to finish it just because he keeps telling me I shouldn’t, lol! He is really disturbed that I am reading a book that I hate.

I enjoyed the vlog :-) I had thought about getting the book Eat Pray Love but I’m thinking I’ll just save myself the trouble and find something else to read.

And Owain is so cute sleeping there on the couch.:-)

Thanks Rose, that is where we cuddle every night. He was one tired kid, lol!

Glad you could get through all 9 minutes of my ramblings :) Eat Pray Love just may be the biggest disappointment of any book I ever ready. I’ll let you know if it makes a turn around, I am really hoping it does.
