I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Whew, I am most definitely thankful that today is over! I am not sure what has gotten into my kids the past couple of days, but they have been as difficult as they can be. Between all the sibling bickering and the tired crankiness because of getting up too early, I feel like I just spent the day taking care of 10 kids instead of only 5. I hope they wake up much later and with much better intentions.

I have been cleaning and organizing my office/studio this week. I have realized that it feels like I am unpacking after a move. Many of the things I organizing have been boxed up for the past couple of years while we worked on the addition and they I never got around to unpacking them. There is lots going to the Goodwill as well as in the trash. I am so thankful that I am finally getting this done…and that I am almost done!

Last week we planted some grass seed in the back yard. We tried last year and it was too late in the year and I think it was too hot. We didn’t get much grass that came up and the grass that did didn’t grow well. Last week we loosened up the top soil, spread tons of grass seed and some rich soil and some of that turf builder. We have never tried the turf builder, I am so curious to see if we will get better results this year. I spread a good layer of straw out and we have gotten lots of rain. I haven’t had a chance to get out and look under the straw in the past couple of days to check it out. I sure hope we have some baby grass out there! I am thankful that I *think* we have baby grass out in the back yard!

I am thankful that Wing Nut is doing so well and gaining weight!

As always, I am Thankful for my happy, healthy, wild little beasties that run around my house all day long driving me crazy, I am Thankful that we still have a roof over our heads and for our wonderfully supportive group of friends and family and all the ways they help us.
