Monday, You Did Not Let Me Down.

After our awesome 1 hour family Wii Fit workout yesterday, I decided that I was going to start getting up at 5am to workout. I have been talking about it for months and were so close when daylight savings time messed up my schedule.

Yes. I am still bitter, and still blaming. I have issues.

This morning my alarm went off and as I was working on dragging myself out of bed, I hear Owain crying. It is not uncommon for him to wake up around 5am and ask for water. When I got up there he was burning up with fever and was over 103. There went my early morning workout, and it was 5 am and I was wide awake begging for coffee.

Honey Nut was sick over the weekend and had over 102 fever that was easily controlled with motrin. I was hoping the same for Owain, but no luck. I had an 8:45 appointment, that took less than 10 minutes, went to the Post Office, got there 10 minutes early and was first in line, after that I headed for a solo trip to the grocery store. It was turning out to be a pretty good Monday even though there was no workout and Owain was sick.

I was gone for just under 2 hours and was hoping that Owee would have been feeling much better by the time I got home, but even on motrin, his fever was rising. I am glad that Honey Nut got sick first or I would have thought it was an infection due to his Heart Cath from last week. I came close to going into the Dr, but I got to talk to her on the phone and she made me feel better about his fever. I love his pediatrician’s office, they are so awesome there!

Shortly after getting Wee Nut settled in, Wing Nut came down with the same virus. He is having a difficult time being sick, I guess because his is older. He has had a higher fever for longer and is very uncomfortable. E Nut and Little Nut Nut both have slight fevers and I am waiting for the high fever to take over.

And I feel like I have a slight fever.

Their dad is going out of town to work until Friday. So I have 2 sick kids, with 2 more and me waiting for the high fever to knock us down. And another week of no help, flying solo. I’m over this week already.

Monday, I thought that we started out on pretty good terms this morning, but I see now you can’t help but make others around you miserable. Be careful Monday, because next week I am taking you down!

For now I just have to make it until 12:30am to check temperatures of Wing Nut and Wee Nut and give them their next dose of medicine, the last one was tylenol, the next will be motrin. Then I need to kiss some foreheads to see how E Nut and Little Nut Nut are doing.

hope you are all well today

and the clock changes make my dd’s blood sugar control dangerous for nearly a whole week.

Oh no! Sick children and a sick mommy at the same time is no fun, I know. Hope you all feel better very soon.
