I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

Hershey Park, Here We Come!

After months of planning, we are just hours away from leaving for our Pre-Surgery vacation! We were in the middle of planning our trip when I mentioned it here a few months ago. We had what we thought was a nice trip planned, and what we really wanted to to was to spend time together, away from the house before Owain’s surgery, not thinking about what is happening next week. We wanted to go on a trip and spoil our kids, no thoughts of things to come, no worries, no responsibilities. We wanted to just.go.away. Away from it all.

My post mentioning our trip to Hershey Park started a chain of phone calls and emails between family members, especially 1 very lucky family member who happens to have connections at Hershey. Family members who have college friend connections are so wonderful to have, lol! Suddenly we were being told that Hershey was sending us tickets that are good for 2 full days and 1 evening, with 1 day of free parking. Wow! Thanks Aunt Deb, we are so grateful for setting this up for us!

Our family came together to give us, more importantly, our children an Awesome vacation that most of them are going to remember for the rest of their lives. My parents sent us some money for food at the park, which is wicked expensive, Mr Wall Nut’s mom and aunt set us up with a nice hotel suite paid for by frequent user points and a discount membership club. His mom also helped us out with a rental van that we needed since my van has no AC and is barley chugging along.

We have a vacation jar that has been sitting above the washing machine for 5 years since the last time we went to Hershey Park a few weeks before Little Nut Nut was born that will be turned into the little green kiosk tomorrow morning on our way out the door.

I saw on the Hershey Park website tonight (because I have to go there every few hours to learn MORE about the park) that some CVS pharmacies are offering coupons for free admission for Dads on Fathers Day. That is so exciting! Sunday is the one day we are not completely covered for tickets. Mr Wall Nut’s mom searched online and found some discount coupons that knocked off a huge amount for the day and when we combine that with the free ticket for Dad on Fathers day we are going to save tons!

We also have a special meet up planned for one of the days to meet some of the characters! Hershey’s Kiss, Hershey Bar and Reeses sent Owain a signed autograph, lol. He has been looking at that picture of the giant characters for weeks. I wonder what he is going to do when he meets them for real!

The van is almost packed, there are a few more things we have to wait on until morning. Which will both be here way too soon as well as not nearly soon enough.

Our family is so excited for this trip and we are so Thankful for everyone who has pitched in to help us out with this.

We are leaving first thing in the morning, way earlier than we function well as a family, but there is fun to enjoy!

Hope you are having a great vacation! I think Disney might be too much for us right now, lol. We can’t wait to go when the kids are older, no diapers and no sippies, lol!
