DIY Soup Can Storage for Pantry

I have been working on filling our stockpile again, and after coming across some great Kroger deals combined with coupons, I found myself with a ton of canned soups and sauces with no where to put them. I started searching for storage for canned goods and found some outrageously overpriced stackable units, or entirely way to elaborate DIY racks that would have taken me weeks to build and nowhere to put.

I was starting to get frustrated, I just wanted something simple that I could whip up quickly, and for no cost at all.

Then I found Then she made…: “Soup”er storage idea. Seriously simple, no cost DIY soup can storage. She is super crafty, with tons of great and super cheap projects, when you are done here, go check her site out.

So I had to make my own. I found an empty 18 pack. This worked out even better than a 12 pack though, I can fit 6 more cans of soup in it. The best part is that I had everything I needed to make this cute storage pack and it didn’t cost me anything.

Now, if that is not just the most brilliant thing I have ever seen! I can’t believe that I couldn’t think of something so simple. So glad you posted it – now I have an excuse to drink a bunch of soda (aside from my “a soda a day keeps the psychiatrist away” mantra.)!

When I saw this on thenshemade.com, I kicked myself for not thinking of it, lol. Brilliantly simple 🙂

I was tempted to go out and get a couple of 12 packs of Coke, but I held back and dug through our recycling.

I love it! I just got pop the other day in those long boxes (we usually get it in a different type of box, but it was on sale…) and we have tons of soup from the Kroger sale, too! 🙂
This will probably make it a little neater in my pantry; right now the soup is in several diaper boxes….

    Great idea!

Not my idea, but it was so simple. I have been stocking up on soups for freezer cooking and crock pot meals 🙂
