No I am NOT a Miniature and if you stop taking my picture there will be no way to prove that I am!

I had to check the actual day to make sure it was in fact Wednesday. It is. Then I was gonna do a Wordless Wednesday post, but then I realized that I haven’t taken hardly any pictures of anyone in MONTHS. What I did find was hundreds of photos from our pre-surgery Hershey Park...Keep Reading Here »

Hershey Park Pre Fontan Mini Scrambler

Looking back at this past summer, I remember the both the fear of Owain’s upcoming surgery and the excitement of our pre-surgery vacation to Hershey Park. I could do without the fear, but I sure could use a vacation from life right now.Keep Reading Here »

Passed out after running the halls and riding in the wagon

We are fully immersed in the up and down ride that is the recovery of the Fontan. We have been back in the hospital for 1 week, the days are blurring into one another and time is only really important when it comes to giving my Little Owee his meds. I think it was...Keep Reading Here »

I can’t believe how much time has gone by since his surgery, and since we have been home! Owain is doing great, we were sent home only 6 days post fontan. Unbelieveable! His brothers planned a surprise party for him, decorated the living room and gathered all of his favorite things. Everyone was full...Keep Reading Here »

June 28, 2011

While I have been sucked into hospital time, I have lost hours and track of what day it is, but the good news is that Owain is doing great. Friday was such a long, long day, I thought it would never end. I am still recovering from the stress of waiting and worrying. Not...Keep Reading Here »

My Fearless Hero

We went in to UVa this morning for Owee’s pre-op appointment. Everything looks great for surgery tomorrow. It was a long day and we are tired! We decided to come back and spend some extra time with the other 4 kids for a bit this evening and then we are heading back into Charlottesville...Keep Reading Here »

Hershey Park 2011 1

I just realized that today is Friday. That means that we are only 1 week a way from Owain’s surgery. Today though, we had a great time at the park, such a great time that I didn’t even think about what day it was once. I took hundreds of photos, way too many to...Keep Reading Here »

Welcome to Hershey!

June 17, 2011

The card with our name on it was a fun surprise and a hint that it was more than complementary Hershey chocolates. What could it be!?

We haven’t even made it to the park yet and we are having a great time already! We are enjoying time together, time in the pool  and time forgetting about everything that has been weighing so heavily on us. When we checked into our room yesterday there was a little package waiting for us....Keep Reading Here »

Thank you for praying!

Praying for Owain

After his Fontan on June 24th he went home after 6 days! Now we are back in the hospital waiting for fluid to stop draining from around his right lung.

Little Nut Nut

Little Nut Nut

Little Nut Nut is my 5 year old boy genius and totally freaks me out with the things he can do. What type of child learns to read at 3 years old?!? He is his Big Brothers shadow and wants to do what ever they do. He doesn't have any trouble letting everyone around here know what he thinks, has no inner voice and talks non-stop all day long. If he thinks it, he says it. He says things like "I love life" and "I am made of Awesome" and always makes me smile, even when I don't want to.

Wing Nut

E Nut

My Wing Nut, 10 years old, is my first born and is a Lego Fanatic. He talks in his sleep about "interesting number combinations" and insists that he is going to work for Lego when he grows up. From the moment he gets the current issue of Lego magazine in the mail, he anticipates the arrival of the next one. He has crazy mood swings, has recently been diagnosed with ADHD but I am not so sure that is correct. He is considered Failure to Thrive and I struggle everyday to get him to gain weight, he keeps getting taller, but not gaining any weight. I think if we can figure out why he his Failure to Thrive, his ADHD will go away.
