I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

Weigh-Day for Wing Nut, Starting Our Veggie Seeds and Straw Bale Gardening

Wednesday is WeighDay for Wing Nut. He as been doing well for the most part. He gained a lot of weight at the very start, I am guessing that it is because he was so far underweight. A few weeks ago we were disappointed when he didn’t gain any weight. And I am kind...

Playing at the Park

E Nut had baseball practice today. We only had to go to 3 different parks to figure out which one the practice was supposed to be at. While he was practicing, the other 4 kids played on the playground. I don’t usually go to the park with all the kids by myself. The older...

Flooded, No Hot Water and Feeling Blessed

The storms that lasted several days are finally over. Today was beautiful. It was warm and we saw the sun. Yesterday was the worst stormy day I have seen in a long time. It rained most of Friday and when we woke up yesterday it was raining. Wild downpours with crazy wind. In the...

10 Things Tuesday

I know how completely ineffective it is to try to host a blog hop and not get it posted until the end of the day. That doesn’t usually stop me from trying though. I just got off the phone with some great Mended Little Hearts leaders for Virgina and SW Pennsylvania. I love conference...

Bring it On!

Warm days. Cool Nights. Random thunderstorms. The muddy smell of a constantly damp Earth. I love Spring! The past month has given us several warm days with open windows, followed my even more days of cold days, bundled up in coats. This week is not going to be any different. Today was around 70...

Random Thoughts, Sick Kids, Mended Little Hearts

Ugh! I can’t believe there is still sickness going around our house! I think we are starting to get better, Owain is definitely much better than he was last night. His fever is way down and he is done throwing himself on the ground crying from discomfort. Tonight Honey Nut was the one who...

101 Reasons Why I Homeschool: Colonial Williamsburg {4}

In September we went to Colonial Williamsburg for the Homeschool experience they have. There are special workshops and discounts for homschool families in September and then again sometime in the spring I think. If you know how we roll, it shouldn’t surprise you that we missed out on most of the scheduled homeschool activities,...

Deck The Halls and Trim The Tree

It is really starting to feel like Christmas in the Shenandoah Valley. Last night we got our first snow that wasn’t more than a couple of flakes floating around for a few minutes. The kids woke up to a ground covered with snow. They spend some time outside today, but it was super windy...
