Ugh! I can’t believe there is still sickness going around our house! I think we are starting to get better, Owain is definitely much better than he was last night. His fever is way down and he is done throwing himself on the ground crying from discomfort. Tonight Honey Nut was the one who...Keep Reading Here »

We had a few snow flakes yesterday that got the kids pretty excited, but it didn’t last for long. They woke up this morning looking for snow covering the ground, but there was none. The have been waiting so patiently for snow to come for weeks. I have been trying and trying to explain...Keep Reading Here »

Thankful Thursday Spring Summer 2011

It has been in the high 50′s and 60′s every day for the past 5 days! Yesterday it got up to 70 degrees! The kids had so much fun playing outside in the mud and jumping in huge piles of snow. My house is a muddy filthy mess that I can’t seem to keep...Keep Reading Here »

February 20, 2010
By

Little Nut Nut was asking for help, but didn’t really seem to be upset or worried. He climbed up the pile of snow, through the hoop and couldn’t manage to get back down. Lucky for me him he had a nice spot to sit on while I ran into the house to get the...Keep Reading Here »

Another Snow Storm, Another Post Full of Pictures

February 15, 2010
By

This is the storm from last week that kept my public schooler home from Friday to Thursday. Every once in a while a scooper comes along and pushes some snow around. The plow only drove down our street once, many of the streets are 3-4 inches deep with ice full of pot holes and...Keep Reading Here »

Fun Friday Photos Christmas Vacation

January 1, 2010
By

I wanted to get a good picture of the presents that I wrapped from different recycled materials, but I completely forgot. Santa brings presents in Santa paper, and there were presents under the tree from my parents, my brother and from Will’s dad and Katy. This year, I used a lot of recycled packing...Keep Reading Here »

We normally go out and get out tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We drive to the top of the mountain to the tree farm and the kids run around while we pick our tree and cut it down. At home we drink Hot Spiced Cider and snack on popcorn and other yummy treats. We...Keep Reading Here »

Our Winter Wonderland

December 6, 2009
By

We don’t get a lot of snow around here. Many times we wake up in the morning and the temperature has dropped down into the teens overnight, but still, not a lot of snow. It usually takes us longer to find and put together clothes warm enough to play outside in, than the Little...Keep Reading Here »

Thank you for praying!

Praying for Owain

After his Fontan on June 24th he went home after 6 days! Now we are back in the hospital waiting for fluid to stop draining from around his right lung.

Little Nut Nut

Little Nut Nut

Little Nut Nut is my 5 year old boy genius and totally freaks me out with the things he can do. What type of child learns to read at 3 years old?!? He is his Big Brothers shadow and wants to do what ever they do. He doesn't have any trouble letting everyone around here know what he thinks, has no inner voice and talks non-stop all day long. If he thinks it, he says it. He says things like "I love life" and "I am made of Awesome" and always makes me smile, even when I don't want to.

Wing Nut

E Nut

My Wing Nut, 10 years old, is my first born and is a Lego Fanatic. He talks in his sleep about "interesting number combinations" and insists that he is going to work for Lego when he grows up. From the moment he gets the current issue of Lego magazine in the mail, he anticipates the arrival of the next one. He has crazy mood swings, has recently been diagnosed with ADHD but I am not so sure that is correct. He is considered Failure to Thrive and I struggle everyday to get him to gain weight, he keeps getting taller, but not gaining any weight. I think if we can figure out why he his Failure to Thrive, his ADHD will go away.
