I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

DIY Soup Can Storage for Pantry

DIY Soup Can Storage for Pantry

I have been working on filling our stockpile again, and after coming across some great Kroger deals combined with coupons, I found myself with a ton of canned soups and sauces with no where to put them. I started searching for storage for canned goods and found some outrageously overpriced stackable units, or entirely...

Prepare, Print and e-File for Free with TurboTax

The last time we paid to have our taxes done, the guy charged us $160 and refused to give us the child tax credit or earned income credit, something like that. He said we didn’t need it or qualify for it or some such nonsense. I knew he was wrong, but also had a...

Coupon Codes for Annie's Crochet, knitting, plastic canvas quilting, sewing, yarn, and more.

We have recovered from the routineless Holiday Season, almost, and are working on staying busy when homeschool is over and chores are done. My Wing Nut is insisting on learning to sew, mostly because he thinks he can sit down at the sewing machine and whip up a Ninja suit. And after watching me...

Why Yes, They Are Dead. Are You Surprised?

Why Yes, They Are Dead. Are You Surprised?

A few months ago, E Nut pulled some already sprouted apple seeds from his apple and insisted that we plant them. It was something that I talked my way out of for years, but there was no way I could say no to him when they were already starting to sprout.

A New Skirt For Honey Nut Sewn From Owee’s Jeans

Finally standing still and facing me for a good photo.

Since I got my sewing machine last month I haven’t really done much with it. Mostly repairing clothing and blankets and making cloth napkins. Nothing too exciting. Nothing to complicated. I needed a bit of time to get to know my new machine and get back into sewing on a machine again. I used...

Conquering The Learning Curve and Saying Goodbye to Income

This is the first freelance article I wrote about 5 years ago, back when the Yahoo! Contributor Network was Associated Content and before I started writing for eHow. This was also before I started blogging full time and only wrote a few posts a year randomly. Today is the last day that eHow will...

10 Things Tuesday

10 Things Tuesday New Banner

I had hopes and plans for this week. With 5 sick kids, none of it is getting done. As frustrating as it is, I am OK with it. The 3 big kids have had high fevers since last night and when I thought Owee’s had gone down, it came back. Honey Nut had the...

Weigh-Day for Wing Nut, Starting Our Veggie Seeds and Straw Bale Gardening

Wednesday is WeighDay for Wing Nut. He as been doing well for the most part. He gained a lot of weight at the very start, I am guessing that it is because he was so far underweight. A few weeks ago we were disappointed when he didn’t gain any weight. And I am kind...

Mom Fail: Out of the Mouth of Mama

Monday nights are so hectic for us. Not only are we recovering from typical Monday chaos, the big 2 kids have Cub Scouts on Mondays. I am always amazed at how two little days at the end of the week can change our daily routine and how difficult it is for the kids to...

Pretty Good OK for a Monday

You know it figures that we get the furnace dried out and lit and it was so nice overnight that we didn’t even need it last night. Today was beautiful, the windows were open and it filled my house with the damp muddy smell of spring. It think it is going to be a...

10 Things Tuesday

Here is another 10 Things Tuesday blog hop that is too late to be a blog hop. This of course means that I have failed at at least 2 of my 10 things to do from last week. I suppose since I am late to bed, I need to get this ball rolling and...

10 Things Tuesday New Banner

I know how completely ineffective it is to try to host a blog hop and not get it posted until the end of the day. That doesn’t usually stop me from trying though. I just got off the phone with some great Mended Little Hearts leaders for Virgina and SW Pennsylvania. I love conference...
