I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

101 Reasons Why I Homeschool: Going to Bed Early is No Fun {2}

Believe me, at the end of most days, I am ready to put the kids in bed. Very often I am ready to put them to bed around 10am…but somehow I manage to make it through those days with chocolate and the knowledge that the day will eventually come to an end. On the...

101 Reasons Why I Homeschool: Getting Up Early is No Fun {1}

If given the chance to motivate myself, or if I am forcefully motivated by my small children, I can very easily stumble out of bed, force large amounts of caffeine down my throat and start my day at 5 am.  That doesn’t really mean that I enjoy it or that I am easy to...

Sometimes You Just Have to Give up and Walk Away

Colonial Williamsburg Homeschool Home Education Experience Three big brothers in the garden 1

When we went to Colonial Williamsburg in last month for the Homeschool Experience, I thought I would be able to get some good photos of the kids. They were looking at some old school style tools from “back then” and I thought that was the perfect time.

Homeschool Room Makeover Organizing the Curriculums and Closet

Homeschool Room Makeover Organizing my Teaching Space

Last year I just taught my oldest Nut and it wasn’t that big of a deal to have just 1 child’s curriculums to organize. I had a small space that I created in my office, but it still ended up all over the house. This year I took 3 shelf units from our bedroom...

Homeschool Room Makeover After the Walls are Repaired and Painted

Homeschool Room Makeover Organizing my Teaching Space

It took us 5 years to finally finish caulking around the windows, fill in the nail holes and paint the trim and the baseboards. The Classroom was Wing Nut’s bedroom for 7 years, E Nut’s bedroom for over 5 years and Little Nut Nut’s room for 2 years. Have you ever noticed that sometimes...

I Feel Like a Kid in a Candy, Um, Computer Store!

You know those days that start out all sunshine and roses. Days where everything is going along nicely and the kids are on spring break. This week I don’t have to do anything except some major organizing and finally doing our taxes. For many people I can imagine that doing taxes is not the...

We interrupt this regularly scheduled life to bring you a technological breakdown

Arg! It seems that at least once a year, sometimes more I have to stop my life to reformat my computer. Not something I look forward to. I am pretty good about keeping my computer cleaned up, I scan it with several different programs designed to find spyware, malware, viruses, trojans, bla, bla, yadda, yadda, and all...
