I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

Yesterday I posted the before photos of Honey Nut’s dresser. Today she helped me get some photos of the dresser after it was refinished and up in her bedroom. And there are actually photos of her new bedroom! It is still pretty empty, but she spends most of her time downstairs hanging out with...

I thought it would be fun to take a homeschool break with Wing Nut and play around with the web-cam. We love playing with all the silly features and just being, well, silly 🙂 Then I thought it would be nice to try to get a good photo of the two of us, since...

Roar! It’s a Baby Dinosaur

Honey Nut is a busy little baby dinosaur. She is also a bit of a chunky monkey! None of my boys were ever so pudgy, I can’t believe how different she is from them…and not just because she is a girl, lol. I think she is getting ready to go through a growth spurt,...

I was going through my memory card for my camera deleting photos and I came across theses photos of our Mended Little Hearts end of summer picnic from August. I love this park, it has a river that runs through it, a small trail that runs through the woods, a nice playground, a fishing...

Happy Halloween from The Nut House {cute}

We took a quick trip up and down our block and spent some time playing in the front yard. The kids had a great time even though we didn’t spend 2 hours running through the neighborhood trying to hit every house we could. I have to warn you though, this is a photo heavy...

Sometimes You Just Have to Give up and Walk Away

When we went to Colonial Williamsburg in last month for the Homeschool Experience, I thought I would be able to get some good photos of the kids. They were looking at some old school style tools from “back then” and I thought that was the perfect time.

A Mystery Noise Brought the Fire Department to The Nut House

When I say mystery noise, I really mean a crazy high pitched squealing, screeching, screaming noise coming from my furnace. Or at least that is where we believe it came from. Now that it is not screeching any more, we really don’t have any idea what caused it. This city is paving our back...

Homeschool Room Makeover After the Walls are Repaired and Painted

Homeschool Room Makeover Organizing my Teaching Space

It took us 5 years to finally finish caulking around the windows, fill in the nail holes and paint the trim and the baseboards. The Classroom was Wing Nut’s bedroom for 7 years, E Nut’s bedroom for over 5 years and Little Nut Nut’s room for 2 years. Have you ever noticed that sometimes...

Another Birthday at The Nut House

A few weeks ago E Nut celebrated his 7th birthday. I never thought that a 7th birthday would be that big of a deal until my oldest turned 7 a few years ago. We always think of big birthdays being 1st, 5th, 10th, 13th and so on. But when my oldest was turning 7...
