I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

DIY Soup Can Storage for Pantry

DIY Soup Can Storage for Pantry

I have been working on filling our stockpile again, and after coming across some great Kroger deals combined with coupons, I found myself with a ton of canned soups and sauces with no where to put them. I started searching for storage for canned goods and found some outrageously overpriced stackable units, or entirely...

Backyard Makeover

Before the addition this garden was twice as long. We had to move it after the addition was done, the house blocked the sun.

When we started our addition 3 years ago, we had a fairly nice backyard. Nothing too special. We had a used swing set, a small garden space for veggies along with a few other small gardens and a nice green lawn. A couple of days before Owain was born we broke ground and had...

Weigh-Day for Wing Nut, Starting Our Veggie Seeds and Straw Bale Gardening

Wednesday is WeighDay for Wing Nut. He as been doing well for the most part. He gained a lot of weight at the very start, I am guessing that it is because he was so far underweight. A few weeks ago we were disappointed when he didn’t gain any weight. And I am kind...

Pretty Good OK for a Monday

You know it figures that we get the furnace dried out and lit and it was so nice overnight that we didn’t even need it last night. Today was beautiful, the windows were open and it filled my house with the damp muddy smell of spring. It think it is going to be a...

10 Things Tuesday

10 Things Tuesday New Banner

I know how completely ineffective it is to try to host a blog hop and not get it posted until the end of the day. That doesn’t usually stop me from trying though. I just got off the phone with some great Mended Little Hearts leaders for Virgina and SW Pennsylvania. I love conference...

New Lighting in the Addition!

We opened up the addition last year in June. It wasn’t done, but it was done enough to move in. The kids had their rooms painted, but no base boards, the light fixtures were the cheap utility lights that are meant for the attic or basement. The closets were not finished, with no doors...

Working on the Addition and Family Workout

After opening up our addition in June of last year, we took a break from the constant work. It was getting to be too much physically, emotionally and financially. It was nice to take some time off, but now it is getting to the point where it is getting annoying that it is still...

I didn’t even get a chance to really look at the photos of the mess that my kids made last night. They turned out much better than I thought, lol. I love the look on E Nut’s face as he is rushing to get the water cleaned up. There are a few spots around...

Starting The Framing on Our Addition

Home Addition Starting the Framing 4

Within a few weeks of Wee Nut coming home from the hospital, we started to get to work on the addition.  There were mounds of dirt from the excavator and gravel all over the back yard and the kids were calling it their Indiana Jones Pit. They had a great time climbing all over...

Homeschool Room Makeover Organizing the Curriculums and Closet

Homeschool Room Makeover Organizing my Teaching Space

Last year I just taught my oldest Nut and it wasn’t that big of a deal to have just 1 child’s curriculums to organize. I had a small space that I created in my office, but it still ended up all over the house. This year I took 3 shelf units from our bedroom...
