I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

Honey Nut’s First Trip to the Dentist

The kids have a great dentist! They are always so sweet to the boys, and now that Honey Nut is old enough to sit in the dentist chair, they made her feel right at home. The kids’ dentist treats the youngest ones like Rock Stars! Of course she did great, she loves brushing her...

PreSchool Scissors Practice – Fun Friday Photos

PreSchool Scissors Practice

I wish I could remember where I got the worksheets for the scissor practice! I would like to see if there are more patterns to cut. I might just have to take a few minutes and make more myself.     Honey Nut and Wee Nut have made dozens of little scraps this afternoon...

101 Reasons Why I Homeschool {8} My Five Nuts – Four Boys and One Little Girl

From the moment I knew I was pregnant, I knew I was going to Homeschool my children. By the time my oldest children were school age, I wasn’t ready and sent them to Montessori School first, and then to public school. Making the choice to send my kids to public school was one that...

Way-Back Wednesday

No I am NOT a Miniature and if you stop taking my picture there will be no way to prove that I am!

I had to check the actual day to make sure it was in fact Wednesday. It is. Then I was gonna do a Wordless Wednesday post, but then I realized that I haven’t taken hardly any pictures of anyone in MONTHS. What I did find was hundreds of photos from our pre-surgery Hershey Park...

A Step Back

Hershey Park Pre Fontan Mini Scrambler

Looking back at this past summer, I remember the both the fear of Owain’s upcoming surgery and the excitement of our pre-surgery vacation to Hershey Park. I could do without the fear, but I sure could use a vacation from life right now.

The Day Little Nut Nut Got Stuck in the Basket Ball Hoop

Little Nut Nut was asking for help, but didn't really seem to be upset or worried. He climbed up the pile of snow, through the hoop and couldn't manage to get back down. Lucky for me him he had a nice spot to sit on while I ran into the house to get the camera.

Another Virginia Snow Storm, Another Post Full of Snowy Pictures

Little Nut Nut and E Nut kicking back eating a snowball snack.

This is the storm from last week that kept my public schooler home from Friday to Thursday. Every once in a while a scooper comes along and pushes some snow around. The plow only drove down our street once, many of the streets are 3-4 inches deep with ice, full of pot holes and...

Thankful Thursday at The Nut House

Fun Friday Photos – Christmas Vacation

Tunnel to go with tent for kids.

I wanted to get a good picture of the presents that I wrapped from different recycled materials, but I completely forgot. Santa brings presents in Santa paper, and there were presents under the tree from my parents, my brother and from Mr Wall Nut’s dad and Katie. This year, I used a lot of...

Holy Ton of Snow Batman! This is a Snow Storm the Kids will Never Forget

I am so happy I could burst! I am above my knees in snow and I can't even get to the ground because the snow was getting packed under my feet.

We got hit with the biggest snow storm in over a decade and I am pretty sure that this is the most amount of snow on record for the month of December Evah! I have been complaining about the lack of snow in the Shenandoah Valley for the past 7 years…and my husband has...

She Nut’s First Meal of Rice Cereal

She Nut is sitting in her highchair for the first time.
Up until last night this highchair used to belong to Little Nut Nut.
Looks like it is time to pull out the bench for the dinning room table since E Nut has been kicked out of his booster seat so Little Nut Nut has a place to sit at the table now.

I have been trying to find a good time to feed She Nut rice cereal for the first time for the past couple of weeks. When we were all sick, the day would get away from me before I ever got the chance. She has started to wake up again for middle of the...
