I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

Self Portrait – Pft!

Thinking. Changing. Daily. Not lost. Just resting. The Sun can’t help up rise. So I shall chase the Sun, and ride the waves, as I soak up the fire, and rest in the glow of life.

It is Hard to Believe…

I just realized that today is Friday. That means that we are only 1 week a way from Owain’s surgery. Today though, we had a great time at the park, such a great time that I didn’t even think about what day it was once. I took hundreds of photos, way too many to...

Why Yes, They Are Dead. Are You Surprised?

Why Yes, They Are Dead. Are You Surprised?

A few months ago, E Nut pulled some already sprouted apple seeds from his apple and insisted that we plant them. It was something that I talked my way out of for years, but there was no way I could say no to him when they were already starting to sprout.

Deck The Halls and Trim The Tree

It is really starting to feel like Christmas in the Shenandoah Valley. Last night we got our first snow that wasn’t more than a couple of flakes floating around for a few minutes. The kids woke up to a ground covered with snow. They spend some time outside today, but it was super windy...

Hanging Out Being Cool

Yesterday we went over to Grandma Nut’s house for another Thanksgiving dinner. E Nut tried out his cousin’s skate board and finally figured it out. He was proud of his scrapes and bumps. You know, because he is doing things like loosing teeth and learning to ride a skateboard. Little Nut Nut needed to...

Name That Flower

I don’t know what kind of flower this is, but I thought it was pretty awesome looking! It was along the fence at the Gardens at Colonial Williamsburg. Anyone have any idea what the name of the flower is? Does it come in other colors, or just this vibrant pink?

Strange Critters Moving in to Your House?

Strange Critters Moving in to Your House?

We have been having a conversation in The Nut House Community about What is the worst critter you’ve ever found in your house? And there are plenty of crazy creepy things that end up in our houses. I have to say that most of them have given me chills and I just might have...
