I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

Is that Harry Potter in my Living Room?

Is that Harry Potter in my Living Room?

My goodness I love my kids. And they love Harry Potter! My kids all have robes from the  House of Gryffindor and they all have a tie and a wand. They get up, but their robes on and suddenly I am transported to Hogwarts Castle, fun accents and all.

When Did My Babies Get So Big?

I woke up this morning, looked at my babies and they both look older than they did last night when we went to bed. And really, Wee Nut is almost 3 and Honey Nut will be 2 in July, so neither one of them are really babies any more.

Startwrite Handwriting Software

It is true what they say about boys and terrible handwriting, my boys penmanship is atrocious! I have learned to decipher my 7 year old E Nut’s writing, and that was no small task, but it has been driving me crazy that half the time I have no idea what his homework says. He...

Monday nights are so hectic for us. Not only are we recovering from typical Monday chaos, the big 2 kids have Cub Scouts on Mondays. I am always amazed at how two little days at the end of the week can change our daily routine and how difficult it is for the kids to...

I have been working on finishing up projects that I started, organizing, unpacking boxes that have now been packed away for close to 3 years, going through photos, both older film developed ones...

Can’t Believe I am Sharing This!!

Can’t Believe I am Sharing This!!

I have been thinking about Owain’s birth, the weeks leading up to it and the days and weeks after. I feel like I am doing much better this year than I have his first 2 birthdays. That is mostly because I have filled my days with as much as I can, the less time...

Thankful Thursday at The Nut House

Happy Thursday Y’all! After last week’s storm, this beautiful week was just what we needed. Warm weather, open windows, a dry basement and hot water. We are so thankful for all of those things! Tonight I managed to get the kids out the door after dinner for an evening walk, something that I haven’t...

Weigh-Day for Wing Nut

Tonight was Wing Nut’s weigh-in. He has been doing very well on the periactin and gained several pounds right away and continued to gain for several weeks. He eats non-stop all day long. My kitchen is suddenly like an all you can eat buffet, except I am the one doing all the cooking and...

Playing at the Park

E Nut had baseball practice today. We only had to go to 3 different parks to figure out which one the practice was supposed to be at. While he was practicing, the other 4 kids played on the playground. I don’t usually go to the park with all the kids by myself. The older...

Pretty Good OK for a Monday

You know it figures that we get the furnace dried out and lit and it was so nice overnight that we didn’t even need it last night. Today was beautiful, the windows were open and it filled my house with the damp muddy smell of spring. It think it is going to be a...
