Why Yes, They Are Dead. Are You Surprised?

June 8, 2011

A few months ago, E Nut pulled some already sprouted apple seeds from his apple and insisted that we plant them. It was something that I talked my way out of for years, but there was no way I could say no to him when they were already starting to sprout.Keep Reading Here »

A New Skirt For Honey Nut Sewn From Owee’s Jeans

June 3, 2011
By
Finally standing still and facing me for a good photo.

Since I got my sewing machine last month I haven’t really done much with it. Mostly repairing clothing and blankets and making cloth napkins. Nothing too exciting. Nothing to complicated. I needed a bit of time to get to know my new machine and get back into sewing on a machine again. I used...Keep Reading Here »

Conquering The Learning Curve and Saying Goodbye to Income

May 31, 2011

This is the first freelance article I wrote about 5 years ago, back when the Yahoo! Contributor Network was Associated Content and before I started writing for eHow. This was also before I started blogging full time and only wrote a few posts a year randomly. Today is the last day that eHow will...Keep Reading Here »

May 18, 2011

I have looked back over some of my posts from the past few days and they seem to be a bit rambly (if that is a word) and may or may not make any sense. Somehow I am am OK with that, lol. So in keeping up with tired rambling I need to share...Keep Reading Here »

WeighDay for Wing Nut, Starting Our Veggie Seeds and Straw Bale Gardening

May 4, 2011
By

Wednesday is WeighDay for Wing Nut. He as been doing well for the most part. He gained a lot of weight at the very start, I am guessing that it is because he was so far underweight. A few weeks ago we were disappointed when he didn’t gain any weight. And I am kind...Keep Reading Here »

April 25, 2011

Monday nights are so hectic for us. Not only are we recovering from typical Monday chaos, the big 2 kids have Cub Scouts on Mondays. I am always amazed at how two little days at the end of the week can change our daily routine and how difficult it is for the kids to...Keep Reading Here »

Pretty Good OK for a Monday

April 18, 2011

You know it figures that we get the furnace dried out and lit and it was so nice overnight that we didn’t even need it last night. Today was beautiful, the windows were open and it filled my house with the damp muddy smell of spring. It think it is going to be a...Keep Reading Here »

10 Things Tuesday

April 5, 2011
By

Here is another 10 Things Tuesday blog hop that is too late to be a blog hop. This of course means that I have failed at at least 2 of my 10 things to do from last week. I suppose since I am late to bed, I need to get this ball rolling and...Keep Reading Here »

10 Things Tuesday

March 29, 2011

I know how completely ineffective it is to try to host a blog hop and not get it posted until the end of the day. That doesn’t usually stop me from trying though. I just got off the phone with some great Mended Little Hearts leaders for Virgina and SW Pennsylvania. I love conference...Keep Reading Here »

Take It On Tuesday

February 15, 2011

It wasn’t until yesterday, Valentines Day that I realized that I still have my Christmas tree up. Kinda hard to believe that I forgot that it was still standing there in the corner of the dinning room, but it is. It is especially hard to believe because I made of point of declaring that...Keep Reading Here »

The Apple Tree Seedlings Are Still Alive!

Apple Trees Seedlings are Still Alive 1

It has been a couple of weeks and they are still alive. The other day two of them started growing their big seedling leaves. There is still one more that hasn’t come out of the seed coat yet, but the other three are growing fast. I had them covered with plastic wrap and I...Keep Reading Here »

Thank you for praying!

Praying for Owain

After his Fontan on June 24th he went home after 6 days! Now we are back in the hospital waiting for fluid to stop draining from around his right lung.

Little Nut Nut

Little Nut Nut

Little Nut Nut is my 5 year old boy genius and totally freaks me out with the things he can do. What type of child learns to read at 3 years old?!? He is his Big Brothers shadow and wants to do what ever they do. He doesn't have any trouble letting everyone around here know what he thinks, has no inner voice and talks non-stop all day long. If he thinks it, he says it. He says things like "I love life" and "I am made of Awesome" and always makes me smile, even when I don't want to.

Wing Nut

E Nut

My Wing Nut, 10 years old, is my first born and is a Lego Fanatic. He talks in his sleep about "interesting number combinations" and insists that he is going to work for Lego when he grows up. From the moment he gets the current issue of Lego magazine in the mail, he anticipates the arrival of the next one. He has crazy mood swings, has recently been diagnosed with ADHD but I am not so sure that is correct. He is considered Failure to Thrive and I struggle everyday to get him to gain weight, he keeps getting taller, but not gaining any weight. I think if we can figure out why he his Failure to Thrive, his ADHD will go away.
