Happy Thursday!
What a crazy week! We have been settling in to our old routines this week after Wing Nut and E Nut spent 3 weeks in NY with Grammy and Grandpa Nut. It seemed like forever that they were gone, and I am so Thankful that they are home. Although I am sure they would have loved to stay another 3 weeks, they are happy to be home, digging through all of their long lost belongings, and enjoying their new bedrooms.
I am also Thankful that I was just able to send them to their respective bedrooms after an all out emotion fest over a sea shell. It was like an easy button. I am really starting to love the fact that they have their own bedrooms, and find new ways to use it every day.
I am Thankful that Wee Nut is over his asthma attack, and that even though I was completely freaked out and thought for sure that we were headed back to the hospital, I am getting the hang of this, and learning to manage it before it gets out of control. He is now on Singulair tablets and Qvar inhaler every day, and I think that will help to keep things from getting out of control again.
My parents brought the big kids home the day after Wall Nut’s family left, and we got a few nice days in with them too. Including a 1st birthday party for Honey Nut, which she was clueless about, and a 4th birthday party for Little Nut Nut, who was excited beyond belief! I am always Thankful for visits from my parents, and birthday parties are always a great time!
My father’s Chemo treatments are almost over, and everything is looking good. He gets very sick this time around, and is knocked out with flu like yuckiness, but his treatment is getting close to being over, and we are hoping that his next remission is much longer than his last. I am so very Thankful that things are looking good for him, and he looks great!
As always, I am Thankful for my happy, healthy, wild little beasties that run around my house all day long driving me crazy, I am Thankful that we have a roof over our heads and for our wonderfully supportive group of friends and family and all the ways they help us.
So what are you Thankful for today? It is so easy to join in and tell everyone.
Here is how Thankful Thursdays works:
1. Post your Thankful Thoughts on your blog. Somewhere in your post please mention The Nut House and/or ourhappynuthouse.com so that your friends, family and visitors know where to find other Thankful Thoughts. You can also grab my Thankful Thursdays banner and link to that. Once you have done that you can come back here and add your post to MckLinky.
Not everyone has a blog, so:
2. If you don’t have a blog, you can leave a Thankful Thoughts comment in the comment section.
3. You can show your Thankful Thoughts any way you like, as a list, a story, a vlog, as one word, one sentence or just a picture.
Have fun!
