Magnolia Queen usually hosts 10 Things Tuesday, but it doesn’t look like she is doing it today. And since 10 Things Tuesdays has become my way of organizing my projects for the week, while keeping realistic goals of accomplishing 10 important things around the house and in my life – and be held accountable for them, even though she is doesn’t have it up yet, I need to get my list up! If I don’t I might not get anything done this week, as I am putting them out there for the world to see, I would feel like a super slacker if I didn’t do my best to get them done
This past week was a struggle to get anything done. I forgot to take my Zoloft a few times in the past couple of weeks…oh drat. Hold on a minute…
OK, I just remembered to take all my vitamins and my Zoloft. Which brings me to my first goal for the week…
1. Remember to take all my vitamins and Zoloft, every single day.
2. Finish building the railing for the stairs. We got the bottom half completely finished and the top half started. This project is never ending. We haven’t had much time to work on it, but it HAS to get done.
3. I have yet to post pictures of Maria, my Dobsonfly (wicked freaky bug that attacked me a while back) I am working on that. My kids were looking at her last night and are completely freaked out by her. My 4 year old was the only one brave enough to touch her, lol.
4. Put away the monstrous piles of laundry that has taken over 2 different rooms in the house…at least they are clean, right?!? That pile of clean clothes just keeps getting bigger and bigger! {All most done!! I am over half way} Every time I start to get caught up, more clean clothes come out of the dryer. Where do all of these dirty clothes keep coming from?!?
5. Patch the cracks in the walls of the homeschool room, and do some touch-up painting. { Last week, I did get some patching done, but not enough to paint. }
6. Fill in the nail holes in the trim around the windows and doors in the downstairs of the addition and paint it. Paint the rest of the downstairs addition. I didn’t realize that I had to still caulk around the doors before I paint them, so I have to add that to this part of the list.
7. Mow and weed eat the front yard.
8. Take pictures of the kids new bedrooms and get them posted…because our new addition rocks and I can’t wait to show it off {My camera is broken, so it will be a bit of time before I get that done, but I will try!}
9. We started designing and building a playset for the kids. It is becoming a huge project, but they are gonna love it and we are saving over $1,000 doing it ourselves. When we are told not to go out around large crowds or where other kids play during flu and RSV season, the kids will have the best playset ever to play on all day. We are hoping to finish up the tower and get the swing set and climbing wall built this week.
10. Round 3 of Toss The Toys...sending more off to the Goodwill. Now that all the kids toys are divided up into their own bedrooms, I can see who really uses which toys, and which of them just need to go away.
You can go to last week’s 10 Things Tuesdays to see what was on my list and what I actually got done…and to see what is left over and moved up to this week. The kids playset kind of took over our weekend, we spent all day Saturday looking at playsets and studying them, then checking out lumber and trying to decide the best way to build it. Then we worked on it all day Sunday, so not much of anything got done on my list from last week. Can you say SLACKER?
This is the last of the cleaning up in the Basement after the contractors finished…
Today we are cleaning up the other side of the basement, there is still a…

Also, glad to know I’m not the only one who has baskets of clean clothes around! It must have something to so with the five kids! Never ending laundry. My goal on that is to fold it as it is coming out of the dryer. I’ve done it for twl days now- yipee!

Yeah, I have that goal too, once I get going with that it usually lasts about a week and then I end up with huge piles of clean clothes on the couch again, lol.

It works. Oh, except for last week when I made a list and then we started to build a play set instead. There went my accountability and organization, lol.
