10 Things Tuesdays has become my way of organizing my projects for the week, while keeping realistic goals of accomplishing 10 important things around the house and in my life…and be held accountable for them! As I am putting them out there for the world to see, I would feel like a super slacker if I didn’t do my best to get them done
10 Things Tuesdays! Ten things made you happy this week? Blog about ‘em! Ten things you want to do before the week’s over? Blog ‘em! Any ten things, any theme you wish, every Tuesday over at Magnolia Queen.
You can go to last week’s 10 Things Tuesdays to see what was on my list and what I actually got done…and to see what is left over and moved up to this week. I would have to say that this past week has pretty much been a failure. If I was on Twitter, I might describe it as #fail, #totalfail or #ifeellikesuchaslacker. I have gotten a few things done, but my ability to complete my first task it screwing up my week!
1. Remember to take all my vitamins and Zoloft, every single day.
2. Finish building the railing for the stairs. We got the bottom half completely finished and the top half started. This project is never ending. We haven’t had much time to work on it, but it HAS to get done.
3. I have yet to post pictures of Maria, my Dobsonfly (wicked freaky bug that attacked me a while back) I am working on that. I just got a new camera, so this project should show up on my blog this week!
4. Get the clean laundry put away!! I think it might be time for everyone to start walking around in their Birthday Suits, either that or start showering in their clothes and standing in front of a fan to dry off.
5. Patch the cracks in the walls of the homeschool room and do some touch-up painting.
6. I am finally starting to make some painting progress! I still have to finish painting the trim around the windows and doors, and it turns out I have to paint the doors too. I have 3 out of 6 windows completely done with 3 coats of paint each, with 2 windows with 1 coat of paint and then 1 last window that only has paint on it because I used it to clean out the excess paint before washing the brush. We finished filling in the nail holes and caulking around the doors, so now I have 3 doors ready to paint. Yee Haw!
7. Mow and weed eat the front yard. At this point, I am skeerd that I might get lost in the tall grass…or that something might grab me and pull me down into the brush.
8. Take pictures of the kids new bedrooms and get them posted…because our new addition rocks and I can’t wait to show it off Again, I got a new camera last week, so this will be a soon to be post as well.
9. We are still working on the Nuts new playset. This thing is a massive undertaking. I see now why people go out and buy those ready to assemble kits. All of the pieces and parts that I ordered last week are starting to come in now. A few more hours of work and we will have a somewhat finished and definitely usable play set!
10. Round 4 of Toss The Toys…sending more off to the Goodwill. I am really starting to enjoy adding a new round of Toss the Toys to my list of things to do every week! Right now I am down to actually sitting down with the kids and making them go through and give up all sorts of little, random, horded, never used toys that my children seem to think are too important to give away, but not nearly cool enough to play with.
My quick afternoon project hasn’t really gone as planned, three days later and…
There is no real entry way into the front of my home, so I am…

I love your site! Especially the part about the noise-are you sure you didn’t mean my house? You would think at night when everyone sleeps that the house would be quiet, but the key word there is SLEEPS. Seems to me there is always someone talking in their sleep, or otherwise busy. The other night we caught my 5 year old eating chocolate frosting in the living room at 2 am.LOL!
I love your idea of “10 Things Tuesday.” I have something similar but I try and spread it all out throughout the week. Otherwise I get slightly obsessed and suddenly decide that now is the time do an entire house makeover.
Meanwhile all the kids are roaming around wondering when dinner will be served, and I’m thinking, “Dinner? Who can think about something as trivial as dinner when we’re in the middle of this fantastic project?”

My 6 year old started sleep walking a few weeks ago! My 9 year old has been talking in his sleep for years and now my 6 year old started a few months ago. So noisy, lol!
10 Things Tuesday is hosted by Magnolia Queen, sometimes I catch her and sometimes I don’t, but I love it! I keeps me busy, lol 😉

We clean out toys each year before Christmas. The kids get to donate their unused toys, and make room for new ones at the same time.

We usually spend the month of December doing that too, but our house is getting a major overhaul, so it is a free-for-all toy donation for me, lol.
