Take It On Tuesday!

At the moment, my house is a disaster. Doing the dishes consists of stacking them up so they take up the least amount of space. Picking up the toys consists of pushing them all in a pile at one end of the room. The bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in days, and I am afraid of what the boy’s bathroom looks and smells like.

I am still taking down the Christmas tree. I will not be having a Valentine’s Day tree, or an Easter tree this year!  The bottom half of the tree is bare, that is where all the kid ornaments hang. All the ornaments have moved from the tree to the dining room table, just doing that I can say that I started taking down the tree.

My house is a disaster, and while it is driving me crazy, I am working on being OK with it. Strep is a sneaky, rotten little thing that is still bouncing around our house. Today I officially gave up trying to keep up with anything. Owain spent the afternoon with a 102 fever, and I have been giving him breathing treatments all day. Just before bedtime I got his fever down to just under 100 degrees. I am hoping that if I can keep the fever down that will calm his asthma down. He has only been in bed for an hour, I have been up listening to his breathing, and checking out how blue he is twice already.  I am giving him through the night to see how things go. If I can continue to manage to keep his fever down, and keep his asthma from getting worse, then I think that this afternoon and evening will be the worst of it. Just praying we make it through the night without getting worse.

All of my projects are on hold for the week, except for getting ready for our Mended Little Hearts CHD Event and taking care of my sick kids. When they do get better and stop feeling so yucky, I will take on the major cleaning that my house needs. Unless of course a maid shows up at my door.

So what projects are you taking on this week?
