We are finally are starting to shake this sickness that has taken over The Nut House. The first round of antibiotics are done, and in the next few days everyone will be off of all meds! Including the new meds that Owee has been on since last weekend. I am starting to feel the energy come back into the house, and everything is getting easier to deal with. In the past two days I have done something like 7 loads of laundry. All I have to do now is get it folded and put away, and get one of our couches back. The laundry monster has pretty much taken up an entire room, a couch and table. I will tackle that this week if it is the only thing that gets done!
We are in the final week of getting ready for our Mended Little Hearts CHD Awareness Week Event! ACK! My head is spinning, I am full of anxiety, and I feel like I need another month. We only have 6 more days, and I don’t have any choice but to keep moving forward to get this thing done. It is a good thing I have such an awesome partner to work with!
I got a call from the Governor of Virginia, McDonnell’s office today. It was from one of his assistants, and he was wondering if I had received the hard copy of this year’s CHD Awareness Week proclamation yet. I tried not to sound like a big dork, getting a call from the Governor’s office talking to him about CHD Awareness, I am not so sure I succeeded. He mentioned that there were a lot of requests this year, and they wanted to make sure that everyone got their copy before the start of CHD Awareness Week…which is next Monday. How freaking cool is that!?! They realize how important this is, not only as an event, but also to the parents who are requesting the proclamation. I can see a day when CHD Awareness Week is a national event 🙂
Now that I have recovered from the sickness, I am working on getting caught up…
The New Year is in full swing, my parents are gone, and our house is…

I just love coming over here and looking at the “nut house” pics. Kids smiles make me smile!
