The Nut House Family Portrait
And by family portrait, I mean all of the kids, I spend my time behind the camera. I took several hundred photos of the kids just before Christmas. Most of them were very much our family in their true form, odd faces, children running all over the place, crying, laughing, spinning, jumping, playing, forgetting they were even supposed to be looking at the camera. We tried several rooms and even outside. For the most part we had fun, but there were a few meltdowns involved and we ended up taking several breaks. I am not sure what happened to their shoes and socks, I don’t remember them walking around like that. The fact that everything else happened to fall together for this photo makes up for the bare feet.
This very well could be the only photo where all 5 kids are actually looking at me, smiling, not moving and everyone is in focus.

honestly I love it, I try to always make a silly face at the end of taking pictures. And more times than not i like the silly ones best

thanks Pam! We have some really silly ones where the kids are running around and being silly, if fact most of them are like that, lol. I didn’t think I got any good photos where they were all looking at me AND not moving at the same time 🙂

I feel your pain. I got lucky for Christmas and got a cute outtake shot of the kids all laughing and being silly, and then I got a decent pic of the three girls and a decent pic of the two boys and then called it a day! Oh how I miss the days of easy pictures!

I know how hard it was just to keep my 2 still for a Christmas photo this year. To have them all looking at you, even, amazing! (I had to bribe mine with candy canes they ate while I took pics…)

I wish I could remember what I was doing to get them all to look at me at the same time. I don’t even remember taking photos in that room, lol. It was a wild day!
