Owain hasn’t taped yarn to his face, or wrapped himself in paper like Wing Nut did, but I won’t be surprised when he does.
Wee Nut has an awesome imagination, and keeps me on my toes. For the majority of today, he wouldn’t answer me unless I called him Wall-e. He crawls around on his knees making gear noises as he “rolled” along. This of course has led his little sister to take on the roll of Eve. Honey Nut follows behind Wall-e making flying sound effects, and calling out to her brother…all in character of course.
There are days when he spends all day long as a doggie. He taught his shadow of a little sister to be his doggie sidekick, and the 2 of them crawl around the house with their tongues hanging out, panting like a little dog. They make little piles of food to eat and find pretend water. They go on missions to find food and water, Hahaha! I laugh every time I see it or think about it. What a couple of Nuts!
He will only willingly watch Harry Potter movies if they have Dobbie in them. When the kids play Harry Potter, he gets to be Dobbie because he is the shortest one. He practices his Dobbie accent with his big brother Wing Nut and for a 3 year old, has a pretty good English accent.
My Little Wee Nut loves to watch Wild Kratts on PBS. It is a show by the Kratt brothers who used to have another PBS show Zobomafoo. My oldest kids used to love that show and it hasn’t been on our PBS station for years. I am not sure if it is still even aired any more. I sure hope so, it was an awesome show! Owee loves to be one of the Kratt brothers, Martin. He gets very upset if he thinks that his brothers are not allowing him to be Martin. As long as I tell him that it is his imagination and he can be whoever he wants he is happy. I love hearing him telling his brothers, “I can be Martin because it is my imagination”
I love my Little Owee. I can’t imagine life without him.
This school year has definitely been an interesting one! My Tribe has not been in…

We love Wild Kratts too! We used it as part of our science curriculum last year and I plan on using it again! We did a Wild Kratts folder and Kaston learned SOOOOO much about the animals (as well as myself – “Hey mom, do you know what a symbiotic relationship is?” whaaa?)
Can’t believe Owain is having his surgery the day before my b-day! Been praying for him (and your whole family) The dreaded Fontan…blugch! He will do great though & just know that we are praying praying praying, and will do so next Friday.
Hope you guys have a fantabulous trip to Hershey…what a great idea!
Many Blessings!

Haha! I can’t believe some of the things my kids say to me. I feel so blessed to be able to homeschool and be a part of their curious learning 🙂
Thanks for your prayers! I can’t believe it is only 5 days away. I am so grateful for this distraction before his surgery, I would be a mess at home right now. The kids are having a great time, and I feel so blessed to be able to watch the joy on their faces for the past couple of days 😀
I will be thinking of you on your birthday!
