We have decided that we are going to learn Italian as a family. We do more talking about it than actually doing it, mostly because of money. We picked Italian so that we will be ready for our someday trip to Italy. This kids have been learning Latin in our Classical Conversations homeschool co-op and they love that they are learning a second language that is so interesting.
I have looked at different programs, but I always come back to Rosetta Stone. It seems the most user friendly for all ages. I remember last year there were some great homeschool deals on the complete set of Rosetta Stone software. I wish I would have been more prepared for this sale, the complete set 1-5 is $349, which is $400 off the regular price! I will have to keep looking and hope I can find a good deal again soon. This is a brilliant Demo and it makes me want to get it for the family even more!
I thought it was going to be a quick video, but this is about 10-15 minutes of a real lesson. And I am excited to say that I scored 90% on the first lesson! After the lesson I got to play one of the games, it was fun, but fast paced and I didn’t do as well! By the time I got to the games, I had a few kids crowding around me, and they were getting just as excited as I was. I believe that homeschooling should be fun when ever possible, and I am sold on Rosetta Stone for all of our additional languages. After doing the Italian Demo, I am thinking we need to learn a few more languages.
