We have been making our handwriting worksheets with StartWrite for the past couple of years. Mostly I make up worksheets with the spelling words that are in the current spelling lesson for the kids. With the younger kids, I make up worksheets to reinforce learning money, telling time, colors, important phone numbers, or our address. You can see examples of some of the handwriting worksheets that I made the kids in this StartWrite post.
With my 5 kids keeping me busy, and getting lessons ready every week, I tend to get stuck in a rut and forget about how much changing up routine can bring new excitement to our lessons. I thought I would try out the 52 Weeks of handwriting for some fresh new ideas.
Startwrite provides us with the ideas and prompts for each week. They started this series with some Father’s Day ideas, and haven’t made it through the complete year yet. We will be jumping around to themes that fit with our mood. Every week, Startwrite adds links to their Blog post with their latest handwriting prompts. These ideas include handwriting ideas, crafts, and other theme related ideas.
This week the theme is Blue, and there are some ideas posted on the StartWrite Blog.
I will print out a few handwriting worksheets and share them with y’all tomorrow. If you would like to join me for 52 Weeks Of Handwriting post it to your blog and share it with me.
