So this is one wall of our little kitchen. It looks like it needs a little work, and a few more cupboards. The rest of the kitchen needs just as much work. There is very little storage, not nearly enough for our dishes or food, and there is no place for a pantry.
There is no way I can just walk into a kitchen like this and not do anything about it. Everything inside of me is craving a full kitchen remodel. I am going to have to wander around the ReStore and Lowes and try to figure out where to start.
There is a small part of me that is wondering what happened to the rest of the cabinets, but at the same time I am thinking that I really don’t want to know.
I’ve got to start somewhere, and at this time I am thinking that it needs a sunny shade of country shade yellow! One thing I learned with the old house, is that a little bit of paint on an old dirty wall goes a long way in helping to turn a house into a home.
I believe the kitchen is the most important room in the house, we start and end our day there. We feed each other, share our favorite foods around a table, and fill our souls with love. We stumble in first thing in the morning and head straight for the coffee pot, we pour out our problems over a bowl of ice cream, we celebrate accomplishments, and we share the joy of the day. The kitchen is the heart of the home, it keeps us going and sustains our bodies & minds. It only seems fitting that the first room in the main house to fix up is the kitchen.
Honey Nut came with me to the Farm House to get some work done today…
I am so excited to get started on fixing up the kitchen! I ended up…
