I promised that I would share how I make my DIY upside-down tomato planter, so today I managed to get everything together and vlog about it. There are many different ways to make these, I have seen 5 gallon buckets, gallon milk jugs, heavy duty plastic bags and all sorts of random things like that. I didn’t really feel like hanging any of those on my back patio, even though they would have cost me nothing to make. I made a cute hanging basket that looks nice and produces food. These are pretty much going to be the only annuals that I will actually plant this year, I used to plant dozens and dozens of flowers every year, but now I stick with only planting food. I have also planted squash and zucchini in hanging baskets as well and they look nice with the yellow flowers, but the basket has to be bigger than what I have used in the past because the pot starts to lean.
Sorry to cut short at the end, Honey Nut has a 103 fever and was getting upset because she couldn’t figure out how to unlock the screen door and escape, Wee Nut made an appearance, then Honey Nut got even more upset because she wanted to be in the swing. I came so close to getting it done without interruption, but what it life around here without interruption, right?
Enjoy! If you make one of these after seeing this video, I would love to see pictures or a video of it! Please share.
