Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday Y’all! Whew, Thursday’s come earlier and earlier every week, don’t they? It sure feels like it. I am not sure what has gotten into my little Nuts the past couple of days, but they sure are driving me Crazy! Although with their daily hugs and daily show of affection mixed in with the bickering, name calling and complaining, I guess it all balances out. At least it does for me πŸ™‚

Pushing the general feelings of chaos aside, I am Thankful for many things this week.

I will have to start out with a little bit of complaining, sorry, I know that Thankful Thursdays is about pushing complaining aside….but I after a month, I still don’t have a working cell phone. My Blackberry stopped charging about a month ago and has been in for repair twice and replaced twice so far. The first time they replaced it, I ended up with someone else’s broken, beat up phone with a speaker that crackled when anyone spoke. That was 2 days ago, and I called in and told them that I did not want someone else’s broken cell phone, I wanted a new one. So the new one came today! Yippie, wait…this one is broken too. Booo! This one came right out of the factory box broken. Unbelievable! The screen is broken behind the glass and it has brown patches all over it.

I bet you are waiting for the Thankful part aren’t you? Well here it is…I did not let my head explode, like it may have and has in the past. Nope, not today. Today I made a phone call, gave a quick explanation and asked for a new, new phone. Again. And they are sending me another new phone. Again. Sooo at this point I am Thankful that 1) I did not loose it, and B) that they are sending me a new Blackberry (again). Yippie!

I am also Thankful that it is Thursday! Yes, that means the weekend is almost here. It also means that the Charlie Brown Halloween special is on tonight and the kids can stop pestering me about “is it Thursday yet? is it Thursday yet?” Yes it is Thursday! Now shut your mouth and get back to your lessons because no Charlie Brown specials don’t have anything to do with math. Got-it?!?

I am also Thankful that my kids are happy with the Halloween costumes that they have and are excited to be Indiana Jones, a Ninja and a Pumpkin and another Ninja and a baby Fairy. All of which we have here in the house and all of which were completely my little Nut’s ideas and they have no interest in getting new costumes at all. Which suits me just fine because the costume bin is overflowing and we don’t have room for any more costumes anyways. I am Thankful that my kids are learning to be happy with what they have and understand that we don’t constantly need new things to be happy. πŸ™‚ I am so proud of them!

I am Thankful that I have 2 sleeping babies at this moment so I can get Thankful Thursday up for y’all! They both stuffed themselves full of pb&j on fresh baked warm homemade bread and passed out in their highchairs. I love love love baby naps!

I am Thankful for Hot Tea on cool mornings, iced tea on warm afternoons and for Nutella in between. I am Thankful for baby Honey Nut who is learning to talk and cracking me up with her crazy sentences and makes me giggle all day long. I am Thankful I can see the bottom of the laundry basket and the surface of the kitchen counter.Β  I am Thankful for the warm homemade bread and fresh homemade hummus that fills my belly.

As always, I am Thankful for my happy, healthy, wild little beasties that run around my house all day long driving me crazy, I am Thankful that we have a roof over our heads and for our wonderfully supportive group of friends and family and all the ways they help us.

So what are you Thankful for today? It is so easy to join in and tell everyone.

Here is how Thankful Thursdays works:

1. Post your Thankful Thoughts on your blog. Somewhere in your post please mention The Nut House and/or so that your friends, family and visitors know where to find other Thankful Thoughts. You can also grab my Thankful Thursdays banner and link to that. Once you have done that you can come back here and add your post to MckLinky.

Not every one has a blog, so:

2. If you don’t have a blog, you can leave a Thankful Thoughts comment in the comment section.

3. You can show your Thankful Thoughts any way you like, as a list, a story, a vlog, as one word, one sentence or just a picture.
