I am Not as Strong as I appear. I enjoy weakness from time to time. We are a homeschooling, special needs family of 6. My 4th son has a Congenital Heart defect, and my oldest has ADHD. I am a survivor of Adultery and mental abuse. I learned that you never really know someone until you are strong enough to stand up and walk away. I love and protect my children, with everything I have. My life might seem unbelievable, but I couldn't make this shit up if I tried! Stick around & let's get to know each other.

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday Spring Summer 2011Happy Thursday Y’all! The weekend is almost here and for that I am VERY Thankful.

It has been a long week, I have been struggling to get anything done. I feel overtired, overwhelmed, and under-caffeinated. Mr Wall has been gone all week and on his way home right now, I am Thankful that he will be home for the next 3 days.

Number 6 from 10 Things Tuesday mentioned that I have gotten over the lack of snow in the Shenandoah Valley. Two days later we are having a snow storm and I am Thankful for it. We have some awesome fluffy snow flakes and the kids are planning everything they will do tomorrow. Hopefully there will be enough to play in. And I hope the snow doesn’t get to heavy until after Mr Wall Nut gets home.

We had our Mended Little Hearts of Charlottesville meeting this week, and I am so Thankful for all of the families who come and share their stories, support each other and support new CHD Families. We have such a fabulous group, I can’t imagine my life without them.

I am Thankful for our Classical Conversations homeschool co-op on Wednesdays. My children get so much out of it and I adore the families we spend our morning with every week.

We have been working with a Home Preservation Specialist for the past 7 months working to save our home. After the company Mr Wall Nut worked for couldn’t pay him consistently in 2011, he had to find other jobs that didn’t even come close to paying our modest bills. Fast forward to July 2012, this company had completely reorganized and has become the job that it was when he started working there years ago. I am Thankful that my husband has been getting a consistent paycheck with a real full-time job for 6 months and we are able to work towards catching up with our bills. I am Thankful for our Home Preservation Specialist who has been working with us, keeping our home out of forclosure and doing everything he can to get our mortgage payment lowered. This is something that has been hard on our family, but lately I feel like we will be OK. This week I felt a need to share what we have learned and am leaning towards a new blog series aimed at helping others who find themselves in our position.

As always, I am Thankful for my happy, healthy, wild little beasties that run around my house and backyard all day long driving me absolutely crazy, I am Thankful that my husband has a job, we still have a roof over our heads and for our over the top, amazingly wonderfully supportive group of friends and family and all the ways they help us. Y’all Rock!

What are you Thankful for today?

I’m hoping we get a little snow here this weekend. The cold without snow is driving me insane!
Glad to hear his company is doing better!

Thanks for linking up with us last week; hope to see you this Thursday!
