Saying Goodbye to My Favorite Passive Income

I wrote my first freelance article about 5 years ago, back when the Yahoo! Contributor Network was Associated Content and before I started writing for eHow. This was also before I started blogging full time and only wrote a few posts a year randomly. Today is the last day that eHow will be publishing my articles, and will be taking them down soon. They have gone through many changes recently and decided that they will no longer be paying writers residual income for articles. eHow was one of my biggest freelance payments that I got every month, and I am going to miss those payments. A lot. Now I need to find a way to make up for that lost income. Which I will figure out soon enough I suppose, but still, I am pretty bummed about lost income. eHow has offered decent money for my articles, but they also are published on several other sites and on this blog, so I am keeping the rights to my articles and saying goodbye to what was at one time my favorite freelance side hustle.

I wrote Conquering The Learning Curve to push myself out of my shy shell and actually publish something. It has always been one of my favorite pieces and it is something that I read every once in awhile when I need a boost, when I am creatively stuck, when I need to see into my past to move forward with my future. It was something I did to face my fear of failure, and I am so happy I did.

bad news about the freelance work. hope you find something better.
My freelance design work isn’t paying enough to cover my costs at the moment.
Like the new look and the photo of the kids in the header.

Thanks Angela! Freelance is such and up and down income, it gets frustrating sometimes. I hope your design work picks up!
