Speed Clean my Kitchen New Years Day 2023

There is something so satisfying about cleaning my kitchen. As a solo working mom of many I tend to do quick picking up throughout the week, and then do big clean-up projects on the weekends, or my days off. I spent years believing that if I didn’t obsessively clean my house every day that there was something wrong with me. It has been so refreshing to learn that the way I keep my house is normal, and average, and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this. I feel fantastic knowing that I am not alone in this. I love to clean and organize, and would love to do that more often, but really how many parents have extra time floating around to actually get everything done? Social media puts a huge emphasis on this idea that everything should be “perfect”, and that tends to create doubt in many women’s minds. I am happy knowing that my imperfections are perfectly normal. I can’t emphasis this enough that as you sit here and read this, know that your imperfections are beautiful, and I am so proud of you!

I did a power clean of my kitchen, and I admit that it felt great. I don’t have any “New Year’s Resolutions” but the timing is perfect for my latest goal, which is to continue to share my imperfections and work to Normalize Normal.
