Bacon Chicken Ranch Using the Slow Cooker Setting in Instant Pot | Freezer Meal Prep

It took me some time to get used to, but I really love my Instant Pot! I think my favorite thing is that I have 1 appliance that I can use so many different ways. It’s like the multitool for the kitchen!

I start using the Sauté setting, and switch to Slow Cooker Setting. If you don’t have an Instant Pot, cook bacon & onion on the stove top then transfer to slow cooker when done.

  • 1 Pack of Bacon, cut, cook, then drain grease
  • 3-4 Medium/Large Sweet Onions
  • 5-6 Pounds of Frozen Chicken Breast
  • 2 Packs/Blocks of Cream Cheese
  • 2 Bags Frozen Corn
  • 1/2 Cup (or so) of Powdered Ranch Seasoning

Cook on the high setting on Slow Cooker for about 5-6 hours (or so) then stir and cook for longer if needed. I like to shred the chicken around 5 hours and cook a few hours more to really melt all the flavors together. Time also depends on frozen vs thawed chicken, and the amount of chicken that is added.

I have the 8 quart Instant Pot and it’s a great size for my large family. I use these amazing to-go containeres for meal prep. If you purchase anything from Amazon following my link, it doesn’t cost you anything extra, but helps My Tribe out. Thanks for your support!
