Today I decided to join Not Super Just Mom and Sluither Nation for their For the Love of Blogging week. I am not sure if I will be able to keep up with all of their activities for the week, but today sounded fun so I thought I would join them.
I like to think I am pretty open about who I am, what makes up my life and it is all written out here in front of you. I have been known to micro organize many things in my life, and my blog isn’t any different. If you look around at my menu you can see that I have Postpartum Depression, my youngest son has a Congenital Heart Defect and that we are a homeschooling family of 7 with 4 boys and a girl. I love to cook, find coupons, and discounts. I have a tendency to take on many projects at once and work my way through all of them at the same time as opposed to picking one and finishing it. I get bored easily, and I prefer to work for a little bit on one project and move to another.
We have been working on remodeling our home for over 7 1/2 years, and an addition for almost 3 years. I do most of the work myself, my dad has been a HUGE help and I couldn’t have done any of this without him! Our house has been a construction zone for most of that time and things really came together last summer when we opened up the back of our house to the addition and almost doubled the size of our home.
I love connecting with my visitors and try to get back to every comment left. I am always looking for new ways to get to know everyone who visits. If you look all the way down at the bottom of the page, I have a BlogFrog Community, and spend time there talking about blogging, CHD’s, PPD, what we are reading, and how I make money as a stay at home mom.
Over on the top of my sidebar there are Heart shaped buttons that connect to my twitter, facebook fan page and a way to subscribe to my RSS feed. If you follow the sidebar down, that is where I brag about how awesome I believe my kids to be. I can’t help it, I am a proud mama!
At the bottom of my posts, is where my sponsors hang out and at the very bottom on the right is a widget for eHow with a few of my articles and a link to my profile there. Those are how I make a little bit of money and I am not ashamed to toss a little plug in there.
I have a few weekly blog hops. One of them is Thankful Thursday, where even on my worst day when nothing has gone right for days, I stop what I am doing and look at all the wonderful things that make up my life, and share how Thankful I am to have them. Another is a new one that I am super excited about, and that is Get Fit With Wii Fit. If you work out with Wii Fit, I would love to hear how you are doing, and love to both give and get a bit of motivation. If you have a Wii Fit that you hardly ever use, kick your kids off the Wii, and workout for a few hours a week! Get Fit With Wii Fit check in is every Sunday. I always plan on getting my blog hops up early in the morning, but that never happens, and it is usually in the afternoon. Never fear, the link always gets up by the end of the day and I always include a thumbnail linky.
So that is a little bit about me. I can’t wait to check out the other blogs that have linked up to the host’s blogs!
